Business Software

"Any fool can buy a new machine; but will it still be working in a years' time?" was advise given to me many years ago as a departmental manager in a factory. I have since learnt that the same advise applies to Software as a Service (SaaS).

This three-session workshop helps in understanding what can go wrong when buying Software as a Service, plus identify the approaches to prevent mistakes:

  1. Welcome & Introductions

  2. Buying a Software as a Service
    • How quickly can it be deployed, configured and active?
    • The difference between configuration and customisation
    • "... but will it still be working in a years' time?"

  3. Coffee Break

  4. What SaaS can do for you
    • Task Management
    • Resource Management
    • Project Portfolio Management
    • Time Management

  5. Lunch Break

  6. What Excel (in the hands of an expert) can do for you
    • Extend SaaS functionality
    • What-if calculations
    • Roll your own charts
    • Migration to a SaaS solution

  7. Networking Time

  8. Optional: Tour of the Centre

After a short introduction by each attendee, the tutorials will be 'full on' for about 50 minutes, with Q&A afterwards.
